Christian J. Feldbacher-Escamilla

I am a faculty member (Akademischer Rat) of the department of philosophy of the University of Cologne, Germany. I received my PhD in philosophy from the University of Düsseldorf. My area of expertise is within epistemology and the philosophy of science, where I am particularly interested in problems of social epistemology, machine learning, and inductive as well as abductive inference. My area of competence covers logic and the theory of definition and argumentation, metaphysics of science, ethics of science, philosophy of language, and history of analytic philosophy. I am editor-in-chief of KRITERION — Journal of Philosophy, managing director of the German Society for Philosophy of Science (GWP), member of the research group Inductive Metaphysics, and permanent member of the organisation committee of the annual SOPhiA conference series, which is organising the largest philosophy graduate conferences in Europe.
